Brainspotting

What is Brainspotting?
Discovered by David Grand, PhD
"Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms."
More simply: where we look affects the way we feel. A brainspotting practitioner can guide clients to find the site where trauma is stored in the brain. By activating this area of the midbrain, clients are able to release trauma stored on a much deeper level than talk therapy alone is able to access.
